Zalizny port - inexpensive resort at the Black Sea coast

Zalizny port - is a small village at the Tendra spit in the Kherson region. The village itself is remote from the big cities, so the resort infrastructure is located on fairly limited area.

History of the village has about 90 years. Previously, it was a small fishing village and also a small port. The name of village is associated with adjectives Iron (Ukrainian - Zalizny). There is a couple of versions of the long iron pier stretching into the sea at 100 m from which came the name. Also there is a version of the name, based on the fact that Zalizny comes from the Ukrainian verb Zalіzlo, so the port, which is literally "zalіz" in sea.
