Liberty Square

The best place to get acquainted with this city is Liberty Square, which is not only the main square in the city, but also covers almost 14 hectares! It is here that all major events, concerts, mass festivals and fairs are held, because it can accommodate up to 350 thousand people.

Gorky Central Park

Another business card of the city, as this park is unique and one of the largest open-air entertainment centers on the European continent. It is rich in everything at once, namely adult and children's attractions, fountains and swan lake, as well as sculptures and retro sites. The area of the park itself is 130 hectares. At the same time the Gorky Park was divided into thematic zones (children's park, extreme park and family entertainment zone) for the convenience of visitors. Here you can also take a ride on the ropeway and the highest Ferris wheel in Ukraine, which allow you to see all the beauty of Kharkiv. Constitution Square

The history of this central square of the city is hundreds of years, and its beginning is 1659. It is worth noting that in 2012, a monument called Flying Ukraine was erected instead of the Soviet power monument. Sculptors from Kharkiv, Alexander Ridny and Anna Ivanova, became the authors of the sketch project. Tourists will be interested in Constitution Square because there are a lot of city's attractions, such as Historical Museum, Technique House, Puppet Theater, famous spire house, Motor Transport Technical School, Kharkiv City Hall, and Holy Protection Monastery.

Sarzhin Yar

This place is a natural monument of local importance that is located not far from Kharkiv's central part. The length of Sarzhin Yar is over 12 kilometers. The main "trump card" of this place is the source of the cleanest drinking water in the city, which Kharkiv citizens and guests gather in mass. In addition, there is a font in which believers bathe during the Epiphany, as well as wonderful children's and sports grounds.

Cathedral of the Annunciation

The cathedral is not only the oldest Kharkiv temple, but also the largest cathedral of those located in the eastern part of the European continent. The beginning of its history dates back to the XVII century, but in its usual form it was built and consecrated in 1901. Mikhail Lovtsov became its architect. He really fascinates with his grandeur and beauty, and can accommodate up to four thousand people.

It should be noted that in the Annunciation Cathedral, festive services and various church rites are especially solemn.
